To calculate tiles for a room, multiply room length by room width to get the total area. Then divide that area by the area covered by one tile.
After calculating the base tile quantity, add waste for cuts, corners, breakage, and future replacement. A 10 percent allowance is common for simple layouts.
Tiles are usually sold in boxes, so round up to the next full box after calculating the total number of tiles required. This avoids shortage during installation.
You can use the Awan Tile calculator to estimate room area, tiles required, boxes required, area covered, and remaining area before buying.
